1 killed, 5 injured as a wall of 4-story building collapses in Mumbai’s Bandra

A 28-year-old man was killed and five people, including a woman, were injured when a wall of a four-story building collapsed on a two-story house adjoining it in Mumbai’s suburban Bandra. A municipal official told about this.

While firefighters rescued 11 people, people living in the area saved six lives soon after the wall collapsed at around 1.30 pm, the official said. The rescued and injured were taken to Bhabha Hospital in Bandra and VN Desai Hospital in Santacruz, he said.

The condition of injured Salman Khan (24), Rahul Khot (22), Rohan Khot (22) and Lata Khot (48) is stable, the official said. At the same time, Riyaz Ahmed (28) was declared dead by the hospital. “The building is located at Razzak Chawl on Kherwadi Road in Bandra (East),” the official said.
