Sixteen students from a school in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, tested positive for Covid-19. They all study in classes from the 8th to the 11th.

The health department of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation stated that the father of a student from the school returned to India from Qatar a few days ago.
As a precaution, this person and his family were tested for Covid-19. The test report of a person with a history of traveling abroad was negative, while his son’s test result was positive.
After that, all students who had been in contact with the infected students were tested for Covid. During this process, a total of 16 students tested positive for Covid-19.
Maharashtra currently has 10,582 active cases of Covid-19, and according to central and state officials, the state has so far reported 40 cases of Omicron variants.
