The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio facelift SUV has been spotted in camouflage several times during recent tests on Indian roads. While the exterior of the 2022 Scorpio has been spied on multiple times, a glimpse inside the cleanest-looking facelifted SUV has surfaced for the first time.

The 2022 Scorpio review unit was spotted by a vlogger who managed to take a look inside and show what the new Scorpio will offer. The three-row SUV will only have forward-facing seats. As seen on the test mule, the seats are wrapped in leather. There are dedicated air conditioning vents on the back of the armrest for second-row passengers for front-seat passengers.

The 2022 Scorpio SUV’s dashboard will feature a large infotainment unit, likely a touchscreen unit. The infotainment unit is flanked by vertically aligned air conditioning vents. There will be physical buttons on the center console for climate control and more. The driver display is also a digital unit, while the controls are mounted on the steering wheel.

Previous spy shots of the 2022 Scorpio facelift SUV have shown it will come with features like a sunroof and power front seats.

The exterior of the new-generation Scorpio SUV will bring several changes. These include a redesigned grille featuring the new Mahindra logo the automaker introduced last year when it launched its flagship XUV700 SUV. Other changes include LED headlights, LED DRLs and LED taillights.

The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will be based on the automaker’s new ladder-frame platform, which it will share with its sibling, the SUV Thar. The new-generation Scorpio is expected to come with an all-wheel-drive option, among other trims.

Mahindra will likely offer both petrol and diesel options for the 2022 Scorpio SUV. The same 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that powers the Thar SUV should also be used in the Scorpio. The maximum power of the engine can reach 130 horsepower and the maximum torque can reach 320 Nm. A six-speed manual and automatic transmissions are expected.
