As part of a major blow to Congress days before the Punjab parliamentary elections, many leaders of the party’s Amritsar arm joined the Aam Aadmi party on Thursday.
No less than three Congress committee members left the Congress party and joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which includes Priyanka Sharma, Mandeep Ahuja and Gurjeet Kaur, in the presence of party leader Manish Sisodia.
Notably, Amritsar Mayor Karamjit Singh Rintu joined the Aam Aadmi party yesterday.
