According to the Ministry of Health, as of Saturday morning, cases of Covid-19 infection in India increased to 10,38,716 of which 3,58,692 are active cases while 6,53,751 people have been cured / discharged / migrated so far. This is the second consecutive day that more than 34,000 cases have been reported in 24 hours. At the same time, 26,273 people have died due to infection so far.
India has become the third country in the world with more than 1 million cases of Covid-19 and so far there have been 25,602 deaths at a rate of 2.55%. There were 57,700 deaths in the US on April 30, when the case crossed 1 million, while in Brazil, which crossed the figure on 21 June, there were about 50,000 deaths.
