5 dacoits loot gold, cash worth ₹2.5 crore from Bank of Maharashtra branch in Pune

Pune On Thursday, five dacoits robbed the Maharashtra Bank branch in Pimparkhed, Shirur taluka, Pune.

They robbed jewelry and cash worth more than 2.5 crore rupees. Since the incident took place in broad daylight, it was captured on social media, and the video was then spread on different digital platforms.

According to Pune Rural SP Abhinav Deshmukh, around 1.30 pm, there were 10 to 15 customers in the Maharashtra Bank branch in Pimparkhed, Shirur taluka. Around that time, five suspects arrived at the bank in a four-wheeled vehicle. One of them stopped at the door of the bank to watch, while the other four threatened the manager and cashier with a gun and took the key to the locker from them.

Then they filled the sacks with cash and gold and escaped into the car within a few minutes. “The robbery occurred within five minutes. The alarm system did not activate.

The locker was opened with a key from the cashier and manager. The five robbers all wore masks and the robbery took place in a remote area. They opened. Speeding away with a four-wheeler, the police are tracking the car. The bank does not have many security personnel,” Deshmukh said.
