Five students from India, all in their 20s, were killed in a fatal car crash in Ontario, Canada. Five students from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario have been killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer. Two others were taken to hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Harpreet Singh, 24, Jaspinder Singh, 21, Karanpal Singh, 22, Mohit Chouhan, 23, and Pawan Kumar, 23 were pronounced dead at the scene.

A motor vehicle collision on Highway 401 westbound, between Aikens Road and St Hilaire Road is being investigated by police. “The investigation into this collision is continuing at this time and updates will be provided as they become available,” police say. No charges have been laid.

The crash occurred on a major highway in southern Ontario and is being investigated by police.
