Police said Thursday morning that six terrorists belonging to the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), including two Pakistani nationals, were killed in two separate encounters in the Anantnag and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to officials, one gun battle took place in the Kulgam area and the other in the Anantnag area-both in southern Kashmir.
Security forces launched cordon and search operations based on news about the presence of terrorists in Mirhama, Kulgam district. They added that when the troops were searching the area, they were attacked by terrorists in hiding.
The official said the troops retaliated, and a gun battle ensued in which three militants were killed. The officials also said that another gun battle took place in the Nowgam Shahabad area near Dooru in Anantnag, the official said. They added that a policeman was injured and he was transferred to the hospital.
