Amitabh Bachchan has claimed that despite recently returning to work after recovering from COVID-19, he has been putting in heavy hours. He was speaking during a segment of his well-known quiz programme Kaun Banega Crorepati. Last month, the actor received a Civid-19 diagnosis for the second time since the epidemic in 2020.
In the most recent KBC 14 episode, competitor Brij Kishor discussed his demanding work schedule and revealed that he only receives two leaves of absence each month, along with two and a half days off. He claimed that each day he puts in 12 hours of work and takes an hour for lunch.
Then Amitabh said to him, “Aap ki aur humari stithi bilkul same hai; hum bhi kya bataye aapko, subah 6 baje se lage hue hain hum yahan par; and ab jab aapka khel khatam hoga; toh uske baad phir aayenge hum yahan par, ye 7-8 PM tak (Your circumstance and mine are identical. I’ve been working since 6 a.m., and once your game is over, I’ll return and keep working until 8 p.m.”
Amitabh had to take a break from filming earlier this month due to health reasons. When the nine days of seclusion were over, he wrote on his blog, “Back at work… your prayers (folded hands emojis) thankfulness… negative last night… required is seven days… My love as ever to all… you are kind and concerned throughout… have only my folded hands for you.”
Amitabh has a strong film schedule in addition to the continuing TV programme KBC. Along with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, he has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The movie will premiere on September 9. It will be available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, among other six languages. The movie Uunchai, directed by Sooraj Barjatya and starring Anupam Kher, Parineeti Chopra, and Boman Irani, would also feature Amitabh. The movie Uunchai will be released on November 11.
