Anupam Kher met filmmaker SS Rajamouli recently and shared photos from their meeting on his Instagram account. During their meeting, the two exchanged hugs and handshakes and talked about childhood memories, joint families, and movies. Anupam also referred to the success of his previous film The Kashmir Files and SS Rajamouli’s directorial debut RRR, captioning a photo of the two shaking hands as a “blockbuster handshake.”

Anupam shared a series of photos from his Goafest meeting with Rajamouli on his Instagram account on Saturday. “What an awesome man!” he captioned it. And what an incredible conversation I had at @goafestlive with the maverick @ssrajamouli. It was a pleasure to speak with him about joint families, childhood stories, our epics, and other topics.

A monochrome photo of them posing together, a candid photo of them laughing together, and a video and photo of them hugging each other were all included in the post. “Blockbuster handshake,” Anupam captioned a photo of them shaking hands on Instagram Stories, adding a bicep emoji. Anupam’s most recent film, The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced on a budget of around 15 crore, grossed a total of 339.78 crore worldwide after its March 11 release. RRR, directed by Rajamouli and starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, was made on a budget of around 550 crores and has grossed over 1127 crores worldwide.

Anupam had previously mentioned Rajamouli’s ‘blockbuster’ connection. He recently saw RRR in theatres with actor Anil Kapoor, and in a video recorded before the movie began, he said, “Mr Rajamouli and I have one thing in common: we’re both in the $300 million club. Perhaps he’s a little more than that.”
