For two decades BJP and Congress have ruled Rajasthan alternatively. The Aam Aadmi Party after its huge success in Punjab assembly elections is now trying to gain grounds in Rajasthan as well in the 2023 elections. According to Devendra Shastri, the state secretary of AAP in Rajasthan, the similarity of issues in Punjab and Rajasthan can make this possible. Aam Aadmi Party provided solutions to the electricity-related problems in Delhi and Punjab and can do the same in Rajasthan as well.
The party is even trying to increase the number of its members in the state so that it can contest all the assembly seats in Rajasthan but that will be decide in due course.
The AAP contested more than 140 out of the total 200 seats in the last assembly elections in the state held in 2018 but could win none.
However, the recent success in Punjab has increased its expectations and hope.
The party can even ally with another party in Rajasthan but remains to be decided.
