The Indian Air Force retired the last squadron of the MiG-27 at an event held at Jodhpur Air Force Base on Friday. In 1958, the squadron’s MiG-27 aircraft achieved the honor of ‘Bahadur’ by accurately dropping rocket-bombs in enemy areas in the Kargil war. Significantly, the MiG-27 was the main combat aircraft of the Air Force for the last three decades.
