Ramya calls Ajay’s ignorance ‘baffling’ and asks him to ‘stop Hindi imposition’. Ramya is Sudeep’s former co-star and actor-politician. Ajay had claimed Hindi is and will always remain India’s national language in a rare angry outburst.

An angry Ajay tweets in Hindi, asking Sudeep why he dubbed his films in Hindi. In the tweet, he also writes, “Hindi was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language”. The debate began a few days ago when Sudeep said that Hindi is no longer India’s national language.

Ramya Goswami has spoken out against Ajay Devgn’s tweet that Hindi is not our national language. Ramya said his ‘ignorance is baffling’ and asked him to ‘enjoy our films’. She also referred to the success of films like KGF Pushpa and RRR in the Hindi belt.

Ramya, real name Divya Spandana, has worked in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil films. She worked with Sudeep in the 2010 film Kiccha Huccha, which gave him his nickname. Ramya was also an MP from Mandya on a Congress ticket from 2013-14.

Ajay Devgn and Sudeep seem to have settled their differences on Twitter after the latter tweeted back that he ‘respects Hindi’. The actor also advised Ajay to not react without knowing the full matter. His response read, Thanks for clearing up the misunderstanding. We respect all languages and we expect everyone to respect our language.
