Amazon Prime subscription price in India to be hiked: Check new prices

Amazon will soon change the price of Prime Video subscriptions. The company has confirmed this on its official website. The e-commerce giant has not announced an exact date for the price change, but asserts that this will happen soon.

According to Amazon’s support page, the monthly price of Amazon Prime is 179 rupees, and those who purchase an annual subscription will need to pay 1,499 rupees. There is also a quarterly plan at a cost of 459 rupees.

Currently, customers can purchase a 30-day subscription for 129 rupees. The quarterly plan price is 329 rupees, while the annual plan price is 999 rupees. Amazon has confirmed that it will not charge your existing plans and free trials or the end of the membership period, and will automatically charge for the next membership period.

“Existing Prime members can continue their membership during the current price period of their membership plan. However, after the price changes, you can choose to renew the membership at the new price,” the company said.

In addition, the e-commerce giant also mentioned on its support page that users who join Amazon Prime as part of the telecommunications program will soon see price increases.
