Amit Shah in Varanasi on Nov 12, may discuss UP polls strategy with BJP workers

Union home minister Amit hah is expected to visit Varanasi in the Lok Sabha constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 12 to attend Akhil Bharatiya Rajbhasha Sammelan. In view of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Uttar Pradesh, this meeting is significant because he is considered the architect of the BJP’s transformation in the state.

The party was ranked fourth in the 2012 public opinion survey, but won a big victory in 2017, winning 312 seats, with a 39.67% vote rate. This time, the party is seeking to retain power. According to the Hindustan Times’ sister publication Livehindustan, Shah will also meet with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staff and discuss preparations for next year’s elections.

According to Livehindustan, the Union home minister has two scheduled visits to Varanasi this month-one from November 12th to 13th and the other from November 19th to 21st. The entire UP polling activity is managed by the central leadership of the People’s Party, with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a key position. The party’s vice chairman Radha Mohan Singh is overseeing coordination between the central and state units.
