For some Google Pixel phone users, Android 12 will obviously cause app crashes and touch response issues. Google’s Android update released earlier this week aims to enhance the user experience through Google’s new Material You design language and some potential improvements.
However, some users reported online that shortly after updating their Pixel phones to Android 12, they began to face delays and other annoying issues, including unresponsive touch screens. These issues are not limited to specific models, but will affect most recent Pixel phones. Some affected users have reported their issues on the Google Support Forum. A large number of users mentioned that after installing Android 12, they began to notice that the touch on the Pixel phone was unresponsive.
Others complained that the app crashed after migrating to the latest Android version. After the Android 12 update, some users started to see battery drain issues and other issues on their Pixel models. In addition to user complaints on the Google Support Forum, some users also talked about the issues they faced after updating their Pixel phones to Android 12.
These issues don’t seem to be limited to specific Pixel models, although most complaints on the Internet indicate that these issues have occurred on recent Pixel phones, including Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5. Google has not yet acknowledged that there are any problems with Android 12.
However, product experts on the Google Support Forum recommend that some affected users switch to safe mode to determine if the problem comes from any third-party applications. It doesn’t seem to help users to a large extent.
