Tech giant Apple has reportedly shortened the free trial period of Apple Music for new users from three months to one month.
After it first appeared to be planning to shorten the free trial period by three years, Apple Music has finally cut it down to one month, according to AppleInsider.
New users get a 1-month free trial instead of the previous 3 months, although buyers of AirPods and other devices still get a 6-month trial.
The terms and conditions on the official Apple Music website do not now mention a specific period. But until January 2022, the banner title was “Enjoy us for 3 months,” and now it’s “Start your free trial today.”
New users who click to sign up for the trial will now be notified that they will get “1 month free, then $9.99 per month”.
In addition to an expanded service for Apple headphone buyers, Apple Music has offered a three-month free trial since 2015.
