Apple’s watch is not what it describes. A group of customers claimed in the lawsuit that it claimed to have defects that could cause harm. Customers said that Apple is keen on compactness and failed to provide enough space inside the watch to accommodate the expansion of the internal battery. According to the customer, the watch screen may fall off, crack or shatter as a result.

The client stated in a complaint filed in the Federal Court of Oakland, California on Thursday: “A separated, broken or cracked screen is a material and unreasonable safety hazard.”

The proposed class action lawsuit was brought by four Apple Watch customers. The complaint included a photo of a dark slash on a customer’s arm, allegedly caused by her Series 3 Apple Watch screen falling off. “The screen is made of Ion-X glass (aluminum model) or sapphire crystal glass (stainless steel and titanium models), and each model has sharp edges on the four sides,” the customer said.

The lawsuit alleges that Apple violated various consumer protection laws when it released its products with knowledge of the defects.

The organization aims to represent anyone who bought any model of Apple Watch from the first generation in 2015 and continued until last year. Owners of this year’s model are not included.
