A Pakistani district court issued an arrest warrant for Hindi Medium Star Saba Kamal on Wednesday in a case registered against her and others for shooting a dance video at a historic mosque in Lahore. The administrative court in Lahore has issued a warrant to Kamal and singer Bilal Saeed for constantly avoiding court hearings. The court postponed the hearing until October 6. Last year, Lahore police filed a proceeding against Kamal and Saeed under Article 295 of the Pakistan Criminal Code for blaspheming Masjid Wazir Khan in the old town of Lahore. According to FIR, both actors filmed dance videos and trampled on the sacredness of the mosque, which caused anger among the Pakistani people. The Punjab government has also dismissed two senior officers in connection with the infringement of the mosque’s holiness.
