Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ‘Ek Mauka AAP Ko’ campaign on Monday ahead of parliamentary elections in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Goa.
In a press conference, Kejriwal urged residents of the capital to make videos capturing developments under the AAP regime and urged people in other states to support the party.
“Over the past 7 years, the AAP government in Delhi has done an excellent job that is discussed globally. UN officials visited our Mohara Clinic. Former First Lady visited our schools .Delhi has 24X7 power supply. We are able to do this because you gave us an opportunity,” Kejriwal said.
“Please make a video and let us know which AAP developments you like. Which ones benefit you in what way. Are Mohalla Clinics open in your area and how have they benefited you? Are public school improvements benefiting you? Or your child benefit? Please mention it in the video,” Delhi Chief Minister said.
Kejriwal asked residents to upload the video to their social media handles. He also called on AAP volunteers to share such videos on various social media platforms.
Apart from Manipur, the Aam Aadmi party is fighting in the elections in the remaining four states.
The AAP has fielded Bhagwant Mann as its candidate for chief minister from the Dhuri constituency after a good 2017 in Punjab.
In Goa, AAP announced a series of commitments. Lawyer-turned-politician Amit Palekar, the party’s CM face, is campaigning in the Santa Cruz parliamentary constituency, which is represented by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
On the other hand, Arvind Kejriwal’s party, led by retired Colonel Ajay Kothiyal, is battling elections in Uttarakhand.
No CM face for Uttar Pradesh has been announced.
