Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, has been transferred to a public cell after he tested negative for COVID-19. The warden of Arthur Road Prison in Mumbai was detained there after he was arrested for a cruise drug case, said Thursday . The official said that along with Aryan Khan, five other men arrested in the case have also been transferred from the prison isolation camp. Nitin Waychal, the head of Arthur Road Prison, said: “Aryan Khan and five other people were transferred from the prison’s isolation camp to the public cell after their Covid report was negative.” Aryan Khan, 23, was sent to Arthur Road Prison after being detained by justice. The Mumbai court will hear his bail request today-the third time since his arrest two weeks ago. The Narcotics Control Board or NCB alleges that Aryan Khan-known as the first defendant-purchases drugs and maintains contact with “some overseas individuals who appear to be part of an international drug network that illegally purchases drugs.” The anti-drug agency said: “WhatsApp chats showed that the defendant had contact with a foreigner in large quantities of hard drugs,” adding that investigations to date have revealed his role in the conspiracy. The NCB stated that all arrested persons “are inextricably linked to each other” and “it is impossible to analyze from the role and participation of another defendant.” The agency stated: “The elements of the conspiracy are clear and obvious, and one of the applicants cannot be considered in isolation.” Aryan Khan’s defense team denied the allegation, saying that he was “not even on a cruise ship” as raided by anti-drug officials, had no cash to buy drugs, and that he had no drugs on his body. Amit Desai, who represents Shah Rukh Khan’s son, said that the NCB’s raid started when he hadn’t even boarded the cruise ship, and he had neither taken drugs nor found anything. “The allegation of illegal trafficking is inherently absurd. This boy with nothing, he is not even on board. This is a ridiculous and false allegation,” he said.
