As Apple launches more M1 silicon, Intel’s chips are certainly down

Apple now has three of its own processors that power most devices for different use cases and price points. In the past year or so, everything Apple has obtained in the processor field is at the expense of Intel, and the new M1 Pro and M1 Max will be further silicon manufacturers.
So what’s the big deal? Well, when Apple launched its chip M1 last year, it opened up a new front. Now there are two, providing different levels of processing power, which are unprecedented in commercial laptops, and the battery life is several hours longer than before.
Apple claims that these two new processors have CPU and GPU capabilities, which will make the current “PC processor” look like a Ferrari-era Ford Model T. For example, they can process seven 8K ProRes video threads at the same time, or run three 4K HDR screens and 4K TVs.
It’s something unprecedented. But all the problems that professional consumers have hoped Intel will solve over the years may be the MacBook Pro, but certainly not from Apple. Today’s release is likely to make Intel lose most of its customers, especially in creative fields such as animation, film production and graphics. If these new MacBooks that can be configured with M1 Pro or M1 Max are suitable for high-end video editing, they have become very good for many other industries and users.
