Asha Bhosle to be conferred with Maharashtra Bhushan Award

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle will be honored with the prestigious Maharashtra Bhushan Award for the year 2020. Explain that the announcement was made after the meeting of the selection committee of Maharashtra Bhushan Award chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Cultural Affairs Minister Amit Vilasrao Deshmukh, Minister of State Rajendra Patil-Yadravkar, and other top officials attended the meeting. Soon after the announcement, Thackeray, Pawar, and others congratulated the 87-year-old Bhosle. He will be honored at a ceremony to be held later.

After making this announcement, the 87-year-old singer shared her happiness with her fans on being selected for the honor, via a tweet on Thursday evening. Sharing a picture of him holding his hand, he wrote in a tweet, “My heartfelt gratitude the people of Maharashtra have decided to give me the state’s biggest award Maharashtra Bhushan Award. Asha Bhosle’s elder sister Lata Mangeshkar also expressed happiness on the occasion. Lata Mangeshkar wrote in a tweet, “Namaskar, my sister Asha Bhosle has been announced to be given the honorable Maharashtra Bhushan Award for 2020. For this, I heartily congratulate Asha and bless her. “
