AUS bags Rs 15 crore project from Survey of India to map Haryana

Drone technology startup Aarav Unmanned Systems (AUS) said on Thursday that it has secured a mega-mapping project worth $2 million (about Rs 150 crore) from the Bureau of Investigation of India to map the entire state of Haryana. map.

The company said the state is about 32,000 square kilometers in size.

“The project was launched in January 2022 and is scheduled to be completed next year. In addition to facilitating the planning and design of critical infrastructure such as transportation, irrigation, drinking water supply across the state, the project is critical to restoring land records. Haryana ,” AUS founder and CEO Vipul Singh said in a statement.

Under the project, AUS will deploy its proprietary survey-grade drones to ensure accurate data collection, which will be further processed by the Survey Office of India to update revenue maps and GIS databases by digitizing land records.

To date, AUS has mapped around 10,000 villages and has successfully completed a contract to map villages in Uttarakhand, the statement said.
