“Baba Ka Dhaba” Owner Files Complaint Against YouTuber For Misappropriating Donations: Police

Kanta Prasad, the proprietor of famous eatery “Baba Ka Dhaba” in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar, has filed a grievance in opposition to Instagram influencer Gaurav Wasan for misappropriation of funds, police stated on Sunday.
Mr Prasad, 80, had shot to reputation after a video of him tearfully recounting the desperation of the months because the lockdown turned into shared extensively throughout social media structures recently.
Ironically, Mr Prasad’s depression had come to mild whilst Gaurav Wasan captured the eatery proprietor breaking down as he pointed out his struggles in a video shared at the YouTuber’s social media account.
In his grievance to police, Mr Prasad stated Gaurav Wasan shot his video and published it online, asking the general public on social media to donate cash to the eatery onwer.
He futher alleged that Wasan “deliberately and intentionally shared best his and his family/pals financial institution info and cellular numbers with the donors and accrued big quantity of donation thru distinctive mode of bills i.e financial institution account/wallets with out imparting any statistics to the complainant”.
The proprietor of the meals joint additionally accused the YouTuber of now no longer imparting info of the economic transactions to him.
“We acquired the grievance the day prior to this on the Malviya Nagar Police Station and the problem is being probed. No FIR has been registered but withinside the case,” police professional Atul Kumar Thakur stated.
