So the trailer for Badhaai Do, released on Tuesday, looks promising. The film features Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, who happen to be members of the LGBTQ+ community. Both characters are in their 30s and both want to be with their respective lovers. However, they are bound by social pressure to marry. Rajkummar Rao, who plays a gay cop, decides to convince Bhumi Pednekar to marry after discovering that she is dating another woman so they can live as roommates and be with whoever they want. The two decide to get married, thus starting a comedy of errors. Both Rajkummar and Bhumi decided to support each other when they lied to their family members or avoided the issue of expanding the family. They have formed friendships that are to be cherished.
Apart from Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao, Badhaai Do also plays key roles with Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chaddha, Lovleen Mishra, Nitesh Pandey, Shashi Bhushan, Chum Darang and Deepak Arora.
