Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has invited bids to complete the remaining work of Rs. 339.21 crore on the 7.5 km Pink Line from Kalana Agrahara to Swagath Road Cross Stations under Phase-2 of Bangalore Metro.
The scope of work includes construction of elevated structures (viaducts and stations) of length given from Gottigere to Swagath Road Cross (chainage 00.00 m to 7501.818 m) including Kotihanoor depot entrance line, road construction and allied works.
The work also includes the construction of 5 metro stations such as Swagath Road Cross at Reach-6 line of Gotigere, Hulimavi, IIMB, JP Nagar 4th Phase, Bangalore Metro Rail Project. Earlier, the contract was awarded to Simplex Infrastructure with a completion period of 27 months, but the contract expired due to slow progress of work.
The total length of the Pink Line (Reach 6) under Phase-II of the Bengaluru Metro is 22.87 km from Kalena Agrahara to Nagwara with 18 stations and the line is expected to be operational by 2024.
