The bodies of two unidentified Nepalese women were found in a gorge near the Parwanukoti railway tunnel adjacent to the Chandigarh-Shimla highway on Wednesday night.

Solan Superintendent Virender Sharma and Parwanoo Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Yogesh Rolta rushed to the scene and confiscated the body, which was found wrapped in sheets. One of the victims appeared to be in his 20s and the other in his 30s, Sharma said. He said a garbage dealer found the bodies and notified a local resident, who in turn notified panchayat authorities before calling the police.

The SP said the victim may have been murdered elsewhere and the body may have been dumped near Parwanoo later.
