Bollywood celebrities react to BCCI’s equal pay announcement

India’s men’s and women’s cricket teams will now receive an equal match fee, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Thursday. Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, made the announcement on his official Twitter account.
“I’m happy to announce BCCI’s initial effort to combat discrimination. We are putting in place a pay equity policy for the women cricketers we have on contract. As we enter a new age of gender equality in Indian Cricket, the match fee will be the same for male and women cricketers, he tweeted.
The Indian Women’s Cricket Squad would receive the same match payments as the men’s team, according to BCCI Secretary Shah, who also emphasised the new fees for the contractual players.

The match fee for female cricketers will be the same as for male cricketers. Test ($15 lakh), ODI ($6 lakh), and T20I ($15,000) (INR 3 lakhs). Kangana Ranaut has denied speculations about joining politics solely due to the box office failure of her films.

She also mentioned that she had not had a single hit for 7-8 years before Queen, but after that, she had a few good movies.
