The Center has sanctioned Rs 1,448 million to APIIC Limited to undertake infrastructure works at the Krishnapatnam node under the Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) and an order was issued to this effect.

Krishnapatnam is one of the three nodes of the corridor and is under the sphere of influence of the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor (VCIC).

The node is located next to the port of Krishnapatnam, providing an ideal location for exports and imports to the economic centers of South Asia.

The components of the project development works include roads, bridges, utilities, STP, CETP and solid waste management, administrative building, ICT cost, operation and maintenance cost and other costs such as contingency, escalation, supervision charges of construction, administrative charges, quality. As part of the National Industrial Corridor Program, the Center aims to build future industrial cities in India through Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to compete with the world’s best investment and manufacturing destinations through a series of industrial corridor projects.
