The police cyber team arrested a Delhi resident who defrauded a girl worth 8,022 rupees from Manimajra under the pretext of offering a job. According to the police, the defendant Rustam Saifi contacted the girl after she created a profile on the recruitment website. He asked her to deposit 2,800 rupees for registration, and then paid 5,222 rupees for failing to deposit the amount in time. Four bank accounts are provided for this. After complaining to the police, the network team was able to trace the defendant from one of the accounts.
The Manimajra Police Department registered a case under Section 420 (Cheating) and 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The defendant appeared in court on Sunday and sent him to judicial custody.
