Shilpa Shetty, actress and reality TV host, is synonymous with yoga. The star is a true blue fitness enthusiast, often sharing photos and videos of practicing various yoga asanas. Her latest clip contains three simple yoga asanas that help overcome menstrual pain, PCOD-related issues, and balance hormones in the body.
On Monday, Shilpa, who is married to Raj Kundra, posted a routine for menstrual pain relief using three simple yoga asanas. These poses are variations of Child Pose or Balasana, Lotus Pose with Raised Arms and Staff Pose or Dandasana. The star shared the low-impact plan, saying the poses “focus on the pelvic area, abs and back” and help stimulate and improve reproductive function.
“Managing your menstrual cramps month after month has been no easy task over the years…especially when you have multiple tasks to complete at the same time. Shilpa captioned this article.
The low-impact program begins with Shilpa doing Child Pose or Balasana by sitting on a yoga mat, placing your calves under your thighs, extending your body forward, and extending your hands above your head.
The star then did Lotus pose with arms raised, back straight and hands raised, parallel to the floor. Finally, she completes Staff Pose or Dandasana by sitting on a yoga mat with her back straight, her legs straight, her toes pointed, and her palms on the floor next to her hips.
Besides helping to overcome menstrual pain and balance hormones, these three asanas have several other benefits.
