Although the discussion of friendship between China and Pakistan is famous all over the world, China keeps jerking Pakistan in between. In this series, China has stopped the project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), giving a big blow to Pakistan.

In Pakistan, when one is dealing with Corona, then there is also a period of political instability. Apart from this, experts believe that by doing this, diplomacy is playing so that Pakistan is forced to take loans at a higher rate of interest.

According to an Asia Times report, Pakistan may be in trouble due to CPEC’s project halt. Many projects of this project have already been stopped. These include projects which were stopped by the Imran government in 2018 simply because they were suspected of corruption of the previous government.

Recently Pakistan had planned to demand a part of the total amount of CPEC investment from China in the form of debt. China is also adopting such a strategy so that Pakistan is forced to take loans at a higher interest rate. There is also a fact that the Imran government is languishing in major infrastructure works.

Meanwhile, the name of retired Lieutenant General Aseem Salim, chairman of CPEC Authority, also came under corruption. This was nothing short of a shock for China as it had made the military its partner so that corruption matters do not come to light.

On the other hand, there is also a period of political stability in Pakistan these days. Opposition parties have been protesting against the government for some time. The coalition of opposition parties has once again announced that despite the government’s ban, they will have a mega rally in Peshawar on 22 November.

11 opposition parties have formed an alliance in the name of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) against the current government in Pakistan, its spokesman Abdul Jalil Jan said, “We have waged a decisive battle against the Imran government.”
