Commercial operations kicked off at IRB Sindhudurg Airport

IRB Sindhudurg Airport Pvt. Special Tools Ltd. of IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd., which was commissioned to develop and operate the Greenfield Airport Project in Chipi, Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra, began commercial operations from the new airport today. Air India owns Alliance Air’s ATR72-600 aircraft, which landed at the airport in 12.52 hours and took off with a full load in 15.24 hours.

The company’s chairman and managing director Virendra D. Mhaiskar said: “We look forward to seeing more airlines and passengers come to use this world-class facility, which will first promote the economic development of the region and the Kankan region, which will bring We are proud of coming more and have boosted our morale to develop more of this type of infrastructure for our country and nation.”

Sindhudurg Airport has obtained an airport operating license issued by the competent authority DGCA; therefore, the facility is now available for use by airline operators and the public. In view of bringing more opportunities for regional economic development, especially in attracting tourism from all over the world, the government.
