The Uttar Pradesh government refused to allow a congressional delegation led by Rahul Gandhi to visit Rahimpurkeri, which was violently attacked. The authorities have imposed restrictions on it under Article 144.

Earlier, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal had asked the Congress delegation led by Rahul Gandhi to visit the area. On the other hand, the congressional leader Priyanka Gandhi, who was detained earlier on Monday, continued to be detained after she tried to reach Rahimpurkeri. On Tuesday morning, Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot, Charangit Singh Chani, Bupesh Bagher and KC Venugopal are expected to travel to Rahimpur Kheri.

On Sunday, Ashish Mishra, the son of Federal Minister Ajay Mishra, allegedly ran over a group of farmers protesting in front of his car in Lakhimpur Kheri, killing four farmers on the spot. The terrible incident allegedly sparked clashes and caused the deaths of four other people.

At the same time, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut met with Rahul Gandhi and discussed with other leaders a joint opposition strategy on Lakhimpur Kheri violence and the detention of Priyanka Gandhi. “I met with Rahul Gandhi.

We discussed a lot of issues, but I can’t disclose everything we discussed. I also discussed with him about the Rajmpur incident,” Rath told reporters after the meeting.
