52,050 new cases of corona have been reported In India, in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning of August 4. 803 patients died in the last 24 hours. With this, the total cases of COVID-19 in the country have crossed 18.55 lakhs.
In the last 24 hours, 8968 cases have been reported in Maharashtra, 7822 in Andhra Pradesh, 5609 in Tamil Nadu, 4752 in Karnataka and 4441 in Uttar Pradesh. Talking about the death figures, 266 in Maharashtra, 109 in Tamil Nadu, 98 in Karnataka, 63 in Andhra Pradesh and 53 in West Bengal have died due to coronavirus.
India is the third most affected country in the world according to the number of corona infections. The United States is the most affected by the Corona epidemic after Brazil. But if we talk about infected cases and mortality per 10 lakh population, then India is much better than other countries. More cases than India are in America (4,862,174), Brazil (2,751,665). The pace of increase in corona cases in the country also remains at number three in the world.
According to statistics, at present, there are six lakh active cases of corona in the country. The most active cases are in Maharashtra. More than one lakh infected people are being treated in hospitals in Maharashtra. It is followed by Tamil Nadu at number two, Karnataka at number three, Andhra Pradesh at number four, and Delhi at number five. These five states have the most active cases. India is the fourth country where most of the infected are being treated in hospitals.
