The Chhattisgarh government has canceled tenders for the construction of the new assembly building and has also stopped work on major projects in the state, due to the growing number of Covid-19 cases.
The state government has also decided to take stricter measures to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
The government told the media that in the Nava Raipur (Naya Raipur) area, construction work on the new Governor’s House, the Assembly building, the residence of the Chief Minister, and the residence of the ministers has been stopped for some time.
The ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ (Bhoomi Pujan) for these works was held on November 25, 2019.
Putting citizens first, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said construction work on all projects has been halted in times of crisis.
The state government said it had directed all departments on April 26 to ensure strict measures in fiscal year 22, as in the previous year.
