The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has called for a joint press conference to step up the investigation of the Covid test, amid increasing numbers of infectives from the second wave of the Corona epidemic in the country.
Along with this, ICMR Director Dr. Balaram Bhargava said that soon three more companies are going to get Corona self-test kit.
Dr. Balaram Bhargava said that by the end of June, the Center is to increase the daily number of corona investigations to 45 lakhs.
Self-test home kits will also contribute to this — as the other three other companies are in the pipeline with their respective kits.
He said that ‘for home testing of Corona, one company has already applied, and 3 are in the pipeline. Within the next week, we will have three more companies. ‘
Dr. Bhargava also explained the steps for using the self-test home kit and said that it should be available in the market within 3-4 days. They said that you can buy this kit from a chemist.
After this, download a mobile app. Check at home. Click and upload the mobile image, the result of the inquiry will be given.
Earlier on Thursday, Pune’s MyLab Discovery Solutions launched India’s first self-test kit for Corona, which has received approval from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
The ICMR DG said that more than 2 million tests were conducted across the country on May 18 and 19, the highest figures ever. Despite this, the positivity rate has come down to around 13 percent.
