Four out of five states where assembly elections took place across February and the first week of March.

In all, the roadshow travelled a distance of 9 kilometres, beginning at Ahmedabad airport and ending in Gandhinagar. PM Modi tweeted: “Leaving for Gujarat, where I will be attending various programmes today and tomorrow”.

He is likely to sound the party’s bugle for the upcoming assembly elections in the state, likely to be held in December. PM Modi, too, had four successive stints as the chief minister, from October 2001 till May 2014.
