Lockdown has been implemented across the country from 24 March midnight to stop the outbreak of Coronavirus. During this period, many old shows are being re-broadcasted on various channels of Doordarshan to take care of the healthy entertainment of the viewers.
They include serials like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Shaktimaan, Buniyaad which have tremendous nostalgic value. Due to these old shows, DD National has created history in the world of TV ratings. DD National has become the channel number in the thirteenth week leaving all the channels behind in the country.
According to a report issued by the BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) for the 13th week from 28 March to 3 April, DD National has received more than 1.5 million impressions in this period.
DD National has secured the first position among all genre channels. Talking about the other channels in the top 10, Sun TV is in second place with more than 1.3 million impressions, while the third one is Dangal (more than 1.1 million impressions) channels.

Sony SAB in fourth place, Sony Mix on fifth, Big Magic on the sixth, Zee Cinema on seventh, Star Gold on eighth, Nick on ninth and ETV Telugu in tenth place. Talking about Hindi entertainment channels, DD National, Dangal and Sony are all in the three places of Shuru.
DD Bharti has secured the seventh position. However DD National ranks second in rural areas. Dangal remains here in the first place. DD Bharti has finished eighth. Among the urban areas, DD National stood first and Sony SAB stood at the second position, while DD Bharti was in the sixth position. Earlier Ramayana also got historical TRP.
