Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will soon become parents, and it appears that he has given her a new moniker. Ranveer congratulated his wife on becoming the first Indian celebrity to appear on Deadline’s Global Disruptors 2024 list in a recent Instagram post. He addressed her as his “baby mama.”
A shout-out to Ranveer’s baby mother
Ranveer posted a screenshot of the Deadline article and said, “Yeaahh, baby momma got ’em shook.” In addition, he tagged Deepika and Deadline and included a crown emoji.
In February, Deepika and Ranveer made her pregnancy known. September is the baby’s due month. When she appeared at the BAFTAs with her tummy covered in a saree, the couple made the decision to validate the pregnancy rumours. Ranveer even mentioned how thrilled he was to be a father when he spoke at the Ambani Jamnagar celebration in March.
Earlier this week, Deepika made her debut on the Deadline list. Deepika emphasised her deep appreciation for the collaborative nature of the film industry in a statement that reflected on her motivations and journey. She said, “Of course, the success of a movie is important, but for me, the time I’ve had with people and the experiences I have on the set of a film are the most important.”
She discussed her acting debut with Om Shanti Om, her work raising awareness of mental health issues, and more in an accompanying piece on Deadline.
The upcoming film featuring Deepika is Singham Again, which is the third installment of Rohit Shetty’s cop series. She joins an incredible ensemble cast in assuming the role of Lady Singham. Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, and Arjun Kapoor will be accompanying her.
She also has the Hindi version of The Intern and Kalki 2898 AD.
