In the wake of rapid surge in Covid cases Delhi government on Saturday prohibited all social, entertainment, cultural and other gatherings, capped the number of funerals gathering at 20 and marriage at 50 persons.
Restrictions announced in the Delhi Disaster Management Authority order included upto 50% cap on the seating capacity in restaurants and bars which means that only upto 50% seating capacity can only be used, maximum use of 50% capacity of metro coaches for transportation by Delhi Metro, 50% capping on the seating capacity of buses.
The DDMA also barred spectators in stadia and capped at upto 50% the use of seating capacity in cinemas, multiplexes and theatres. All these restrictions have been imposed with immediate effect and will remain in place till April 30.
