Delhi to start unlocking from May 31; construction activities, factories to resume

The second wave of corona virus in the national capital Delhi is now starting to weaken and new cases are seen to decrease continuously. In view of this, the Delhi government has decided to end the lockdown gradually.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told the press conference on Friday that the unlock process in Delhi will start in a phased manner from May 31.

Restoration of construction activities and reopening of factories will be allowed from May 31 in Delhi. He said, ‘The infection rate in Delhi has come down to 1.5 percent. But the fight against the virus is not over yet.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘The result of the hard work of crores of people is that now the Corona cases in Delhi are gradually decreasing. Now it’s time to slowly unlock.

He further said, ‘We do not want people to die of hunger, so it is necessary to start economic activities now. In this process we have to take care of the lower class – daily wage laborers, laborers, migrant workers first.
