The first drive-thru vaccination center opened in the capital Delhi amid the second wave of corona virus epidemic has been closed. The reason for its closure is being told by the central government to limit the vaccine rates for private hospitals. The hospital has said that running it has now become impractical.

Delhi’s first drive-thru vaccination center organized by the specialty hospital was inaugurated by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 26 at Vegas Mall, Dwarka. Hospital officials have told that about 10 thousand people have been vaccinated at the center so far.

The hospital said, “Delhi’s first drive thru was a highly safe, convenient way for the public, which we drove non-stop for 15 days. We have now decided to stop it because of the new vaccination price, as it has become impractical to run it now.

Drive-thru vaccination was seen as a new initiative to control the crowd at corona vaccination centers and prevent the spread of infection. It was expected that in the coming time such initiatives would be taken in many parts of the country as well.
