Djokovic, 34, and his wife Jelena jointly hold an 80 percent stake in QuantBioRes, which employs about 20 people in Denmark, Slovenia, Australia and the U.K., according to information made public by the Danish Business Register.

“Our goal was to develop a new technology to fight viruses and drug-resistant bacteria, and we decided to use Covid as a showcase,” Loncarevic said.

“If we are successful with Covid, we will be successful with other viruses.”

QuantBioRes plans to launch clinical trials in the UK this summer, the CEO said.
