An iftar has been held at the Lord’s Cricket Ground in London to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. The event was organised by Tameena Hussain, who manages the IT Helpdesk of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which is known as the home of cricket.
The European Central Bank (ECB) has shared a video of the Azaan call by a priest in the Long Room at its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. The ECB on its Twitter handle shared the video of people hearing the call of prayer, also called an azaan.
“This evening has been about connecting through people’s love of cricket, but also about understanding and beginning to develop a much deeper learning about each other’s cultures,” said Tom Harrison, ECB CEO.
Eoin Morgan, England’s limited overs captain, Graham Gooch, Lydia Greenway, and Tammy Beaumont were among the cricketers who attended the event.

The iconic cricket ground has seen historic events that have forever changed the game. Before the match, local cricketers, coaches, and club staff gathered at Edgbaston for an iftar.
