Emami Group has agreed to sell its cement business to Nirma Group’s unit Nuvoko Vistas for ₹ 5,500 crores to reduce the debt burden. As of August 2019, Emami Cement had a loan of ₹ 2,600 crores. The company has an integrated plant and three grinding units with a total production capacity of 83 lakh tonnes per annum.
