Actors Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are reportedly due to have a civil ceremony on February 21, but a Maharashtra wedding also appears to be planned for February 19 at Akhtar’s farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra.
A source said: “The family was very cautious about the wedding as they didn’t want the media to be there. Only the family was invited. It’s unclear how things were planned as everything was kept under wraps. But most Possibly a Maharashtra wedding.”
We have also been told that the family will be heading to Kondara on the evening of February 18 and the wedding will take place the following day. Dandekar’s sisters and close friends are believed to be in charge of the pre-wedding celebrations and bachelorette party, which will take place from February 17 (today) to February 18.
The couple, who have been together for about four years, will register their wedding at their Bandra home on February 21. In the evening there will be a reception for friends and colleagues.
Recently, Akhtar shared a photo with friends on Insta, raising suspicions that it was from his bachelorette party. Interestingly, Dandekar is also part of the party.
Akhtar’s father and veteran lyricist Javid Akhtar previously confirmed their wedding in an interview. “Yes, the wedding will take place. Rest shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain, the wedding planner will take care of this,” he said.
