FIR against Shweta Tiwari for hurting religious sentiments with ‘bra’ comment

Actor Shweta Tiwari has filed an FIR for allegedly hurting religious sentiments with controversial statements made in Bhopal’s new web series discussion.

The case was registered at Bhopal Shyamla Hills Police Station under Section 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code.

During the launch event for the web series, Shweta had stated that her bra size was being adopted by the “bhagwaan”, but many were not happy with it. Shweta made the controversial statement while promoting her upcoming web series, which also stars Sourabh Raaj Jain and Rohit Roy.

The FIR’s release came shortly after Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra noted Shweta Tiwari’s controversial statement. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Narottam Mishra said: “I have seen and heard Shweta Tiwari’s statement. I condemn it. I have instructed the Bhopal police chief to investigate and submit a report to me as soon as possible. Action will be taken afterwards. .”

Shweta Tiwari was in Bhopal recently to promote her upcoming web series based on the fashion world. The series also starred Sourabh Raaj Jain, best known for playing Lord Krishna in the Mahabharata. Speaking of the same thing, Shweta can be heard saying in a video: “Meri bra ka size bhagwaan le rahe hain.” She was criticized for her remarks and making jokes about God.
