On Sunday, Ranveer Singh returned to cricket commentary after promoting his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. During the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad, he was in the Star Sports office. Former cricketer Irfan Pathan has now shared a candid video of Ranveer refusing to leave even after his screen time has ended.
“What a guy,” Irrfan captioned the video on Instagram. Finished kar de?? (shall we lock the decision) #entertainment,” she wrote alongside a laughing emoji and the caption “Naukri pakki.” Even after his screen time is over, the video shows Ranveer in a yellow suit sitting with the panel. “Mujhe nahi jana,” Ranveer says as Irrfan reminds him that the show is over. Mujhe yahi rahna hai, mujhe kahin nahi jana yar. Irfan saab, meri naukri laga do (I don’t want to go anywhere; I want to stay here.) (Find me a job.)”
“Bhai jaan Ranveer Singh ko naukari laga,” one of Irfan’s fans wrote. “Brother, if you give Ranveer a job, you will lose your own job,” says the doge. “Kr do done is bahane to deepika v aayegi set pe (Ya give him a job, atleast Deepika Padukone will come on set),” said another. Many of his fans also agreed with his decision to give Ranveer a job.
Ranveer Singh said he is waiting for RCB captain Virat Kohli to regain his form after being dismissed for a duck on Sunday. He explained, “It’s disheartening to see Virat Kohli go for a first-ball duck. However, it has no bearing on his stature. He was and always will be a fantastic cricketer. I’d like to see him get out of this slump soon so he can contribute to Team India in the T20 World Cup.”
Jayeshbhai Jordaar, starring Ranveer Singh, is set to hit theatres on May 13. Shalini Pandey, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Boman Irani also star. Ranveer Singh plays a father who wants to save his unborn girl child in the film directed by Divyang Thakkar.
